Bringing together a team of experienced leadership trainers and practitioners, this training is designed to be skills-focused, providing participants with the opportunity to share their own experiences and to practice with each other. The two days will cover several dimensions of leadership from a micro, individual level, to a macro, systemic one.

  • Examine individual leadership values and skills
  • Explore systems thinking for leadership, including how to effectively deploy leadership skills to navigate complexity
  • Understand the connection between leadership and biological, psychological and physiological awareness in order to practice holistic leadership skills
  • Consider their personal ethics and values
  • Elaborate their individual roadmap for their own leadership journey

 

Programme overview

 

DAY 1

Subliminal influence and leadership:

  • Learn to appreciate the biological, psychological and physiological underpinnings of effective leadership
  • Use your senses to become better observers, capturing more of the otherwise-hidden reality of social interactions
  • Develop your charismatic appeal and discover habits and skills that lead to better-informed decisions

Personal vision and ethical leadership skills the world needs now:

  • Assess your unique leadership style and practice a self-reflexivity and authentic connection with others
  • Increase your self-awareness, gain clarity and strengthen your confidence in your own leadership journey through self-reflection exercises


DAY 2

The work of leadership:

  • What is the work of leadership in our time and age?
  • Understand the evolution of leadership and the key correlation between adult development stages and leadership levels
  • Experiment with aligning your unique sets of values and talents with the work of leadership

Capacities for systems leadership:

  • Systems thinking : what’s the relevance for diplomats and policy-makers?
  • Understand how systems thinking processes and tools help discern collaborative approaches
  • Explore the capacities needed to be effective leaders and to exert influence in these systems
