Young Arab Diplomatic Leaders engage in advanced training on Negotiation and AI

In October, the Executive Education team partnered with the Arab Youth Centre to deliver a high-impact online course as part of the Young Arab Diplomatic Leaders Programme. Over one week, participants explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping the art of negotiation and global diplomacy. Guided by experts Nicholas Niggli, Dr Jérôme Duberry, and Matthias Sander, the sessions combined interactive workshops, real-world case studies, and simulations.

Last month, the Geneva Graduate Institute’s Executive Education delivered a one-week customised course for the Young Arab Diplomatic Leaders (YADL) Programme, in partnership with the Arab Youth Centre. Building on the successful collaboration established during the previous edition, this year’s training focused on “Negotiation in the Age of AI”, offering participants a unique opportunity to strengthen their skills in economic diplomacy through an innovative and forward-looking lens.

The online programme brought together mid- to senior-level Arab diplomats and professionals from across the region, equipping them with tools to navigate complex global negotiations and to understand the strategic implications of artificial intelligence for diplomacy and governance.

Led by Nicholas Niggli, Dr Jérôme Duberry, and Matthias Sander, the sessions combined conceptual insights, real-world case studies, and interactive simulations. Participants explored advanced negotiation strategies, the evolution of multilateral practices, and the role of AI in shaping international cooperation and digital sovereignty.

Through this collaboration, the Geneva Graduate Institute and the Arab Youth Centre reaffirmed their commitment to empowering the next generation of Arab leaders with the knowledge and competencies needed to address the challenges of a rapidly changing global landscape.
