This upskill will provide you with the indispensable awareness that advocacy means different things to different people around the world. Individuals, associations, communities, private organisations, and public authorities go about advocating in a variety of ways. Hence, we claim that “my way is the right way” or centering our analysis following a single model is simply wrong. These two days are there to dismantle simplistic views on the existence of a silver bullet or a size-fit-all kind of advocacy.

Objectives

  • Multiply the voices of advocates operating around the world
  • Go beyond western-centered models, canvas, ideas and open up to themes, strategies, and tactics employed by advocates active around the world
  • Explore a variety of themes and types of advocacy in international and public affairs
  • Highlight diversity, density and advocates' competencies to think differently when dealing with stakeholders coming from different cultures and different sensitivities
