Global Health Diplomacy and the Future of Multilateralism

Global Health Diplomacy and the Future of Multilateralism

Vinh-Kim Nguyen, Jérôme Duberry
, -

The COVID-19 pandemic revealed both the vulnerabilities of international cooperation and the necessity of collective action, placing health at the center of geopolitics. Institutions like the WHO showed their critical role in keeping countries aligned, even as trust in multilateralism was under strain.

This webinar will explore how global health diplomacy can pioneer new approaches to multilateral cooperation, moving beyond traditional state-centric models toward more inclusive frameworks. We will discuss possible future models for global health diplomacy that can better respond to pandemics and the governance of emerging technologies, but also dive into some of the current and future sources of global uncertainty.
