Can Technology Save Us and the Planet?

Can Technology Save Us and the Planet?

Bertrand Klaiber, Minna Epps, Jérôme Duberry, Gilles Carbonnier
, -

Auditorium Jacques Freymond, Parc Barton, Geneva

Can technology and innovation provide the solutions we need in a world facing unprecedented environmental challenges? Join us for a compelling conversation with Bertrand Klaiber, Director of Tech4Regeneration at EPFL, and Minna Epps, Global Ocean Team Director at the IUCN's Centre for Conservation Action.

The panel will explore the critical role of technological and institutional innovation in addressing urgent challenges like ocean preservation, biodiversity loss, moving toward a circular economy and ecosystem regeneration. While technology offers transformative tools, from AI-driven conservation monitoring to renewable energy innovations, it also brings questions about accessibility, scalability, and unintended ecological impacts.

Our speakers will share insights on harnessing technology to create nature-positive outcomes, drive ecosystemic regeneration, and overcome barriers such as limited resources, policy gaps and the drivers of sustainable social innovation.
