Dominique Hasler

Minister of Foreign Affairs Principality of Liechtenstein
Former President of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe

When geopolitics, regulation, and technology converge, my strategic thinking comes into its own.

As President of the Committee of Ministers, I coordinated 46 member states through crisis. And I presided over the adoption of the Council of Europe’s AI Convention (CETS 225) — the world’s first legally binding treaty on artificial intelligence, where technology, regulation, and international law had to converge.

Across eight years — Ministry of Home Affairs, then Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Inside and outside: from national security and crisis management to international trade, economic diplomacy, and multilateral governance.

Currently completing the INSEAD International Directors Programme (IDP-C) — bringing long-standing international leadership into strategic oversight.

I have led under pressure. Decided under ambiguity.
That experience doesn’t stay in government — it travels.
