Modules 1 & 2

Global Environmental Governance, Food, Climate Change, Water, Energy, Human Rights - Certificate & Diploma

Fundamentals of Global Governance - Executive Diploma (online)

  • Bring environment into the broader context of global governance

  • Understand contemporary dynamics of international affairs and complex system

  • Exposure to the multilateral context of international Geneva

 

Module 4

Analysis and Tools for Decision-Making - Executive Diploma

  • Deconstruct the policy-making process

  • Participate in case studies and scenario-based role play for a multidimensional, hands-on approach

  • Understand decision-making within regional and international organisations

Entry requirements
  • Selection is primarily based on the candidate's professional experience and motivation

  • A bachelor's degree is required, or a diploma deemed to be equivalent (no particular discipline)

  • A minimum of five years of full-time work for the Executive Certificate or eight years for the Executive Diploma is highly recommended

  • Proficiency in English is required

Josée Laporte is currently Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist for the Multinational Enterprises and Enterprise Engagement Unit of the International Labour Organisation (ILO). She provides technical support on engaging with the private sector for the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on decent work and social challenges. Josée backstops initiatives in a number of African countries. She develops global tools and facilitates training for national stakeholders on issues such as multinational enterprises and development to promote the application of the ILO Tripartite Declaration of Principles concerning Multinational Enterprises and Social Policy.

Jenitha Badul is a member of Senior Management at the Department of Environmental Affairs. She has been with the Department since February 2003. Most of Jenitha’s professional experience has been related to green economy project planning and implementation. Her work spans across spheres of government, i.e., national, provincial and local government levels; in addition to collaborating with international UN and country donor partners. Jenitha has also provided guidance and has been responsible for the coordination of event greening programmes for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the UNFCCC COP 17 meeting, respectively.
